Dear Stakeholders,
It gives me a pleasure a sense of satisfaction to witness a tiny sapling
which was planted twenty one years ago in the form of Indore Public School
have today grown as a Banyan tree spreading the roots of quality education
to the masses. The sole motive behind establishing IPS was to provide
quality public schooling which otherwise was only available to elite class
selected few, to the masses blended with Indian values and Sanskaars which
has actually provided the foundation for learning modern education. The
motto of Indore Public School was carefully devised as “Care, Capacity,
Capability” to link the same as the gradual development of a child in the
school. When a child at tender age, comes to the school, what he requires
the most is “care”. Gradually his all around “capacity” is developed by the
way of various curricular and co-curricular activities thereby making
him/her “capable” of facing the challenges in life.
We should realize that the children are natural learners, we need to let
children expand their natural thinking prowess, give them an environment
that encourages creativity and an adventurous spirit. Indore Public School
provides that natural habitat where the children expand their wings of
imagination and are eager to touch the horizon.
A lot is being said about our education system, that, the system encourages
rote learning and memorization. That, it doesn’t encourage learning of
concepts and is limiting in the way it engages children. The children only
learn how to negotiate examinations by memorizing and quoting ditto concepts
from the text-books. That, the children in general don’t enjoy schooling and
this further cause’s deterioration of the learning process.
There is a lot of research and various studies that give new perspectives to
education. There is a work being done towards getting deeper insight into
the way the child learns. Various organizations employ results of research
to create tools and resources to be used in the class. It is very important
for the teachers to have access to this information and a medium to
translate these generalities to the practical and usable. When we quote the
said lines, we actually commit ourselves in IPS to achieve the a teaching
learning environment to facilitate the students and teachers to gain the
optimum.
I also, strongly feel that, the children of tomorrow need to be groomed as
leaders and team builders, so that they can boldly lead and face the
challenges of new global scenario. This leadership can easily be inculcated
by the way of involving them into students’ council and through games and
sports which again is an excellent way to teach leadership, comradrie, team
spirit and most importantly to loose with dignity.
Another challenge before the citizens of tomorrow is the environmental
concerns which requires immediate attention. The children be made aware
about global warming and the effective ways to deal with it. If we fail to
address this ever growing problem then, the growth and development would
have no meaning. I’m happy to share that IPS is contributing significantly
in this movement by the way of transplanting trees which otherwise were to
be cut down for the developmental activity.
Lastly, it gives me pleasure and a sense of satisfaction to learn that the
Alumni of IPS are doing extremely well in their professional and social life
bringing glory not only to themselves but to their families, IPS and above
all to the nation. May their progress and glory spread by leaps and bounds.
God bless and wishing happy learning at IPS.
